ROCAMADOUR, a village located on the Causse, welcomes 1 million visitors and pilgrims every year. A real architectural challenge, Rocamadour, clinging to the cliff, is a superposition of brown roofs, houses and churches.

From the castle that crowns this daring scaffolding, there is a 150-metre high cliff, at the bottom of which meanders the Alzou River. Rocamadour is remarkable for its 7 chapels that make up the sanctuary dedicated to Notre Dame since the Early Middle Ages.

Discover Figeac by visiting the squares and alleys, medieval houses and palaces, private mansions between courtyard and garden, churches...

A medieval city that has kept all the aspects of the Middle Ages: fortified gates, narrow and winding alleys, half-timbered houses...

From the Esplanade of the old castle, at the top of the hill, the hilly landscapes of the Bouriane and Périgord can be seen as far as the eye can reach.

Close to the many caves, castles, museums and "the most beautiful villages in France", the Pays de Souillac welcomes you to the Midi.

Souillac in the 12th century developed around an abbey.

Stroll around the abbey church and the old quarters.

The extraordinary "Mother Nature" in the Lot!

"In the Middle Ages, when cork was unknown, wines transported in barrels could hardly stand the test of time. All of them finished the journey oxidized, sharp, to the point where they had to be cut off with water to drink them. All except the Cahors: this wine with its Indian ink colour was indeed endowed with a fabulous taste. It did not age and kept the freshness of its flavours despite the chaos of maritime races (...) Now a few centuries later, hedonists all over the world are rediscovering the taste of dense and deep wines (...) The secret of black wine? The alchemy between the soil, grape variety and men. Nowhere else but in the Lot valley has malbec (the grape variety of Cahors wine) produced wines of such depth (...) The Cahors, still black, continues to defy time. Its liveliness and richness in tannins are the keys to its eternal fame..."
